As part of the #NationalMinorityHealthMonth,
On Friday, April 11, 2025, Plaquemines Medical Center, in partnership with Plaquemines Primary Care, hosted its annual Easter EGGstravaganza at Plaquemines Medical Center, where we had over 80 participants. It was a sunny Spring day filled with lots of smiles and laughter!

Thanks to our staff, volunteers, special guests & community partners for participating and helping make this fantastic event successful. The kiddos enjoyed the afternoon with food, music, games, an egg hunt with prizes & pictures with the Easter Bunny! 🐰

Healthier Community Series

Plaquemines Medical Center, in partnership with Xavier University of Louisiana, is hosting its Healthier Community Series on Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Plaquemines Medical Center, 27136 Hwy 23, Port Sulphur, LA 70083, 504-564-3344. Xavier University of Louisiana will conduct a focus group to understand how climate change impacts the Gulf South Communities—bridging the gap between climate change and determinants of health in South Louisiana.
